M. Pilotte has always enjoyed writing, whether it be for academic purposes, newspaper reporting, or simply as a creative outlet. A lifelong learner, she earned a Ph.D. from UCONN. Following her retirement as an educator, she wrote several plays. She and her husband divide their time between Connecticut and South Carolina.
She is currently at work on a novel set in both Wexford Falls, CT, and the Lake Champlain region of Vermont. Readers of Pilotte's recently published books will recognize the main character who is trying to come to grips with a cataclysmic change in her life.
